@snarkdetriomphe Besides: summer is the season I like the least...I know no one's supposed to say that, but for me it's true. If I wanted all that heat and humidity I'd live in, well, at least southern Pennsylvania. 90 degrees and sun every day for even a week pretty much infuriates me. It's stifling AND boring. And I never get bored, but summer leads me really close to that. And I hate those idiot weatherdouches always fawning over the f'ing sun LOL.

So yes: fall rocks!

Fall is a great time I think. Nature is getting ready for a well deserved rest ~ so it gives us a blast of colour ~ then settles down waiting for it's blanket of snow. The only time that bums me out is around January & February ~ the grey, the melting blah's. Be well my friend. hugs, Chris

@bugsinrug I think you have it right, Chris! I wish I'd had the sense to appreciate it more than I have before now. Sad that it took me so long to not look at bare trees as if they were dead things, when that's so far from the truth.

And yes: January & February can be too much sometimes, but I'm going to try to dig them, too. Luckily I'll have a shovel at the ready. :)

I wish there was a way to capture the feeling of the place better than I ever manage to, but I guess some of the coolness comes through...hopefully there'll be a lot more glimpses in the next year than there have been in the past one, so maybe with better circumstances will...ah, hell, it'll be the same stuff. But that's cool. :D

@snarkdetriomphe Until this year I always had a hang-up about fall...I've thought a lot about it (way too much time on my hands lol) and I think it' was tied to my hatred of the end of summer vacation, school buses, and things like that. There's no sensible reason for it; it's beautiful weather, there's the foliage changing, the skies (around here anyway) absolutely rock, and...it's just a really cool, natural thing to be a part of.
