This gem here is by that incredibly prolific harpsichord composer Domenico Scarlatti. He is one of the few Italian composers who wrote a decent amount of keyboard music - most of the other Italians mainly wrote opera (Verdi, Bellini, Puccini etc.).

  • A few of Italian composers wrote instrumental music..?! You are kidding, right? It is true that opera was born in Italy in the late renaissance, and that from the late 1700's throughout the 1800's opera was the main product coming out of that country, but instrumental music (sonatas, concertos, etc) had been Italy's main concern for at least two centuries and a half, from the Gabrieli's to Torelli, Corelli, Vivaldi and dozens more. And yes,D. Scarlatti remains the major composer for the keyboard
