June 1st, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Opening of the Holland Festival: Umm Kulthum tribute concert by 25 year old Egyptian singer Amal Maher in theatre Carré in Amsterdam, simultaneously shown on a big screen in the Oosterpark in Amsterdam. I recorded during 'Inta Omri' with a miniscule mediocre pocket camera to have a souvenir of Amal Maher's mesmerising concert.

What a great singer she is! Amal Maher is a treasure of Egypt and Arabic music :)

  • كم أعشق هذا الصوت........

  • Echt mooooooooooooooooooooi!! topppppppppppppppp

  • Hi,

Is there any possible way I can find the whole song MP3 ?

The only two sources I found in the internet is you and the other clip for the first part.

    Thanks

  • This is wonderful, she is by far the only singer that can sing as good as late umm kulthum. Her voice gives me goosebumps. This is absolutely wonderful

  • What a beautiful song and a beautiful singer. By far the best cover of the great Oum Koulthoum (may she rest in peace).

  • I will never tire of this great, great song, made famous by Om Kalthoum. Imagine her voice as a slide-guitar or an exquisite violin. I hear the story of Romeo and Juliet. The following is a partial translation: "Oh my beloved, I never lived until I met you. Whatever I saw, before my eyes saw you, was a wasted life. The dreams of happiness that I was longing for, I found in the light of your eyes. You are more precious than my own life. Why didn't we meet long ago?'

  • Pieter - ben je eeuwig dankbaar! Kon helaas niet erbij zijn maar oum khaltoum is mijn all time fav zangeres!

  • Truly amazing!!

  • @PieterdeRooijHolland

Thank you so much ! :)
