@fishybishbash The strum you mean is the shake: a quick down-up-down with the index finger (replacing one beat). I do it a couple of times in this video as well. Make sure the first down-up are short, not on all strings, followed by a strong down. Hope this helps...

@ukulelezaza Bravo, one of my favourite GF solos - when I watch the films of him playing, the triple strokes look to me like he's actually flicking them off with his index finger like a normal stroke rather than bringing his thumb into play - is that the case? if it is, how the heck do you get back to the normal after the triple?
