Please welcome our newest Kitty Motel resident, Lilah!

Lilah is 8 years old but as you can see, she acts like playful 3 year old, full of energy and she is very outgoing. When I was taping this, she was purring entire time. Lilah has cerebellar hypoplasia aka CH or "wobbly cat", which is a neurological condition that limits her motor skill just like our Duke, Griselda and our adopted CH girls, Mouse, Misa and Dancer. "Neurological" does NOT mean her thinking is slow. Look at her pretty sparkling eyes, she's sharp and very intelligent! Her CH is not as severe as Duke's and her shaking (one of CH conditions) is not as bad either. She can eat by herself without anybody assisting her and we're trying to see if she can use our litter boxes. Because some of our kids have CH and other special needs issues, we use lower flat litter boxes for them to be able to get in easier than climbing into a normal cat litter box.

Check out more about Lilah and our other adorable residents at Kitty Motel at our Kitty Motel Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kitty-Motel/115645497366?ref=ts

  • Beautiful fur babies, do you still have all seven or are you like a foster home with lots of tlc until they find their forever homes? Are they in any pain? You are a wonderful person taking them in. X

  • She's almost identical to my kitty Fable. I didn't know Fable had CH until today when she had a visit to the vet. She was never quite this unsteady until very recently, so the vet says to keep in mind that hers could be a degenerative type and continue to worsen. Right now she's about where Lilah is, and she gets around pretty well on her own. She slides around using her front paws to direct her trajectory across the floor. Their innovation is inspiring. :)

  • She's a doll!

  • It looks like a Meine Coon, I love it!

  • What a gorgeous kitty. Oh how I recognize that look on her face. My CH cat, Fie, has quite a similar look whilst trying to get up.

  • beautiful!

  • aww shes the most adorable thing. i want her so bad, but i have 4 kittys of mt own that need me =(

  • She's absolutely beautiful ♥

  • Aww, such an amazing cat! <3 One of the most gorgeous cats I've ever seen! =D She looks a lot like Spottedleaf from the warriors series. =3

  • Despite her disability, i see lots of energy and hope in her eyes. <3
