Why did you even post that song then Scout4Me? You must know about America's terrorism against other countries. You can change that. We change ourselves , not our enemies.
Peace and love is all that this song about. Go watch Joan singing this two days ago , changing the lyrics to " Time to Occupy" . Joan Baez is still around fighting for freedom. We don't need violence , my friend ! Don't let fear drive you mad.
( Sorry for my poor English )

the chorus is the tune of Auld Land Syne. Hooray for the folk process

@Scout4Me1 I think our unquestioned support of Israel is a moral and political dilemma, and furthermore it is one of the reasons but certainly not an isolated reason. American foreign policy in general is the reason. It is a foreign policy that has single handedly given birth to radical Islam when it suited it (during the Soviet-Afghan conflict) and then suffered the back draft of it afterward. America has supported right wing governments abroad and it has pissed off the world while doing so.

the mistreatment of the troops coming home from the Bush&Dick made up Middle East debacles has been and continues to be significantly less than stellar. In lots of cases their mistreatment only came to light when concerned parents videoed the vile living conditions at Walter Reed where their sons & daughters were being abused. With the airing of this unbelievable government abuse changes were made. It's been a while, government improvements tend to wane without continued attention.

the BigMusic moguls are only interested in the crotch grabbing, boneheaded, 'put your hands in the air, wave 'em like you just don't care' silly kids that bombard the air waves these days. Joan Baez brings a whole lot of counter thoughts to the Republican BigBank, BigBusiness, BigMilitary, BigEntertainment, BigPress, Big Government anti American way of thinking. In the Republican approach, you're either one of them or you're the enemy. So a song like this gets seen only by accident

Joan Baez,
I've posted 151 of my original songs at my YouTube site (BertGriffin88). If you get a chance take a listen to my songs 'When's That Someday (We Need That Someday, Today)', 'Bullet Hole', 'They Took His Life Away (66 Days)', 'Please Don't Take My Last Dollar From Me Please', 'They're Burning The Gulf of Mexico'. Who knows you might fight some songs of interest?
Your song 'Where's My Apple Pie?' comes at a time when it's clear you get no pie if you're in the bottom 99%. Keep singing.

I cried like a bitch on the last verse "there'll be no world war three"
This song is powerful.

So 9/11 mean`t nothing to you? Should we wait for another one, and another one before we pick up a gun?
Scout4Me1 2 years ago
@Scout4Me1
Why do you think we were attacked on 9/11? Its because of our own nation's militarism abroad that has pissed off the world. So long as we continue to fight unnecessary aggressive wars abroad, we will never be safe and 911s will continue to threaten us. Its the gun that brought 911 not passivity.

@Ermal8711 Perhaps we were attacked on 9/11 because we support Israel. Now that`s a thought isn`t it?
