For over 20 years, the Compton Jr. Posse has given inner city kids hope by teaming them with horses. Compton Jr. Posse members have participated in horse shows all over Southern California, opening their eyes to life outside the invisible walls of the inner city. Students develop discipline, responsibility, self-esteem and communication skills. The Compton Jr. Posse is sending a third generation to college, into the military and into business for themselves! This accomplishment is phenomenal as the drop-out rate for children in Compton high schools is one of the highest in the country.
How cool is this. How lucky are all of you. How much respect you get as a rider. How to keep yourself in shape. How good for your thinking. How neat to
be in a Posse. How much you smile. How gifted are you to have this place to hang out at. How people at school respect you. How learning about horses
is a very special honor. How many other communities need someone who cares enough. How great it is to ride. How many jobs can come from this experience. How important it is to finish school?????????
