  • why not just use a clear higher powered bulb with red and blue filiments?

  • @stephencarlsbad the amount of IR light produced would be very low, also your power consumption would be higher, since you would need brighter lights.

  • ey can i use IR led from remote?

  • @CrismarkRock Yes you can, actually the ones that I got from Radio Shack were for a remote.

  • was this used with night shot

  • @1kuhny Yes it was used with night shot on a sony camcorder, it did boost the IR light, the one on the camera is a little weak on its own. The lantern style works better indoors then out, a flashlight style works better for outdoor, since it provides a more concentrated beam. The lantern disperses the light to much.

  • @ashishmazmudar Yeah, that would have made it easier, but I think at that point we were tired and hungry and ready to be done, so we were not thinking too clearly by that point lol... Thank you glad you liked it...

  • @ashishmazmudar True and they do, just did not have one at the time.

  • to put iy back when there is rubber gasket, just a thought, why not apply a little bit of oil on the gasket. that it way slipping the cover on would be easier without multiple tries. great vid

  • to desolder the original led's you really do not need help. there is something called a desolder pump which can be used to remove the original solder. I am sure its available in readio shack or other stores.
