I think this ST-2 is my favorite from Pete. It does EQ without the hiss and squashing of tone.

  • why do you have black box and colored knobs???

  • @fr06floyd I have the black boxes because of tradition. When I first started buying from Pete in 2001 he had run out of the regular boxes he used then and offered the black boxes. I also prefer these because they look nicer on a pedalboard with cables and wires through out. I chose the colored knobs to match the LED's simply because it's fun. I wanted my Pete Cornish pedals to be different.

  • The ST-2 is placed after or before the G-2? Thank you

  • @guidopelati I put it after the G-2

  • I liked it so much last because of the boosting capabilities, does it still retain its boosting capabilities when used ahead of the distortion?

  • is 1:09 to 1:48 ST-2 only? or is it the G2 turned down? thanks!

Also...would you be interested at all in doing a ST-2 only demo to show the amount of gain it has? :) I know it's not much...but just to get an idea

  • @jonathangreig i've got the ST-2 unit by itself recorded alone. Which is my favorite sound. The recording does not do the ST-2 justice. I've got a nice Germino Club 40 Amp but the ST-2 makes a lot more articulate and overdrives the amp in a clean light overdrive type of way. I've got vacation next week I'll make sure to post something then.

  • Great tone! The ST-2 is amazing, I absolutely love mine. Have you tried putting it first in the chain? I like it best there as a signal/tone correcting unit. It seems to make my G-2 and P-1 sound even better and reduces unwanted feedback. thanks for the demo.
