A truly fantastic version of Prince's "PURPLE RAIN" by the awesome XANDER & THE PEACE PIRATES. This was my very first encounter with these guys...filmed at the Cavern Pub Matthew St Liverpool, where they currently play every Sunday night 10pm til 1am. Needless to say...they totally blew me away!!! They've got everything...wonderful musicianship, great voices & song-writing talent, infectious showmanship, undeniable stage presence & stand-out star quality. Can't believe this band are still unsigned!! That will change very soon as they're about to support Bon Jovi at Old Trafford Cricket Ground on Fri 24th June 2011! Destiny beckons. Go catch them while you can! Whatever heights they reach, I'll always love this version of Purple Rain & the way Keith Xander makes that lead guitar sing! Will never forget that magical moment I stumbled upon them in Liverpool on 10.10.10. What an auspicious date! x
