Tanak's delay occurred nearing the end of the stage when he went into a bank and blocked the radiator in his Fiesta. "I was just doing some corrections in my pace notes and I missed one tightening [corner]," he said. "I was a bit too much and it blocked the radiator. We were taking some time cleaning it because it was going too hot." Tanak drops back after off-road moment in Wales.

Stage description:
By M-Sport Stobart Ford Rally Team co-driver Scott Martin: "This stage has a wind farm at the top so you're climbing up hill before it opens out at the top where it's really fast. Then you are back into the forest and it's like a ski run with a steep downhill section. The finish is fast and in the open. It's another long stage and because you've climbed up hill fog can be a threat."
