  • I never really got into maxing out every time I pulled. A while back I got 725 for a double with just a belt. In terms of 1RM, I'm sure your guess is every bit as good as mine.

  • What can you pull for a single without the straps?

  • Im not hating, just wondering!

  • The set in the video basically qualifies as a strongman lift. My form is admittedly terrible and I don't pause at the bottom. It is in no way meant to be an instructional video.

  • hmmm a "Dead Lift" hince the word dead in there means the weight isn't moving when it is pulled. How could bouncing deadlifts classify as that?

  • It doesn't hurt. I don't get a huge advantage from the bounce itself but I do benefit quite a bit from not wasting my energy on controlling the negative.

  • Does the bouncing help?

  • Barring an injury...

Come to think of it, I never used my quadriceps while deadlifting anyway. I wouldn't feel right if I didn't at least take a stab at 675 x 10. We'll see how well it comes back...

  • 675 x 10. Not sure when, but, barring an injury, it will happen sometime in the next 2-4 months.

  • time for a new vid chief.... 675 x 10 ???
