I just melted! Why don't they make them like this anymore? These are absolutely gorgeous! Practical. And yes babies can stay much longer in these prams then the poor excuses for what they call pram nowadays! Bring back the oldies, please!

Believe it or not, this pram wasn't made in the UK. Bilt-Rite was one of the nicer pram builders here in the US at one time, and made several models of English-style prams like this one.

@shortliner68 it does say, both on the pram body and on the wheels, Made in England, with the town, but I forget the name of it.

@snowwhite67 Now that's interesting to know! There was a Bilt-Rite Co. which used to be located in Orangeburg, NY, near New York City. I believe they later merged with Century Children's Products. I have a smaller Bilt-Rite stroller made by them we purchased new in 1986...the mfr date on it is actually 7/84. Either Bilt-Rite had an English division I never knew about, or there were in fact two separate companys, both named Bilt-Rite. Thanks for the info...have to do some more digging on it.

@shortliner68 perhaps they created a division in the US much later... after all, mine had a tag inside that had the year 1954 on it!
