    I've been following your videos for about a month now and ran across your yoga for sleep which contains this breathing exercise in it. I have been working with this technique and as someone who suffers from a panic disorder i can it IS magic because boy does it help!

    Thank you for this and all of your empowering, relaxing, energizing, fulfilling yoga wisdom and making it accessable to all of us net yogis.

    That's SO good to hear! Yoga really helped me with panic attacks when I used to have them--I don't anymore. This breath is POWERFUL against anxiety, and thanks for letting us all know it really works! xoxoSadie

    Hi all,

    I know--this is one of those things that is so simple but works SO well. I've used it many times instead of a drink or a Valium...or freaking out at someone. It works better, because it empowers us to do it ourselves. Nothing's better;)

    Hi Sadie,

    Thanks for all that you do here and elsewhere. Best wishes for a happy new year. I usually do this alternate nostril breathing with the thumb at one side and then the first two fingers at the third eye and the third finger at the other side. :)

    Thanks Sadie, I am looking for yoga steps to help with my Insomnia (darn Type A mind that won't shut off!) and love the positive feedback here. Breathing tip worked and like Steve's variation. Will also practice some yoga prior to going to bed and at 2am if needs be! Cheers!

    Hi Sadie:) I know this video is about 3 years old but just discovered you on youtube, butI wanted to say that,1stly: you are very very pretty :) & 2ndly: i have just been discovering for myself the beauty of yoga and proper breathing to stop panic attacks which i suffered from for a good 10-15 years. Is always nice to know when we share common experiences i guess:) oh, and i nearly forgot my 3rd hugely important and unshallow point, you are one seriously attractive girl:) x

    Cool that at least it helps someone! I haven't heard from people with those kind of problems, and how it worked with yoga, I've only heard people quitting yoga because it felt bad for them. I've been thinking of quitting too because I get panicky and depersonalized with all that focus on breath. Hopefully it will get better with practice.
