Lyrics:

Wind, and my heart swimming in collected words
Moved by the wind, in through the world
Clouds, like a voice that we all recognize
Carry the holding future

Moon, on the sky as a trembling heart
Shown on the glass unsteadily
Stars, shedding tears in an overflowing stream
I see the night all around me

Suteki Da Ne
Being together, all alone walking hand in hand
And I want to go to your city
To your home, into your arms

That soul
Inside your body
From those conflicted nights
As from my dreams

Wind died away, and I feel all the words
Led by a gentle illusion
Clouds are the future that cannot be attained
Told from impossible distance

The moon filled with night as it flowed through your heart
Such faraway reflections
Stars, ripe like tears, like fruit falls from a tree
I wipe my dreams off the nighttime

Suteki Da Ne
Being together, all alone walking hand in hand
And I want to go to your city
To your home, into your arms

To feel your face
The touch of memory
And now that I awake
As from a dream

Suteki Da Ne
Being together, all alone walking hand in hand
And I want to go to your city
To your home, into your arms

To feel your face
The touch of memory
And now that I awake
As from a dream

  • People who say this is worse than the original are weeaboo's with no idea. Nobuo wouldnt have picked her for the vocals if she couldnt pull it off.

  • It's interesting how different this version is. Susan's voice is so much more passionate and emotionally driven, especially around the end, whereas the original is rather soft like a sweet "goodbye".

The key change is a bit dramatic. xD

  • Like I keep saying...Uematsu wouldn't approve of just anyone to do these dubs. He's a pure genius.

    Also...saddest FF game I have ever played...truly tear-jerking...

  • @Meowster34 Yes, I think that both versions are equally as good :)

  • i love them both so much, even though i must say Susan's voice is breath-taking. But also the beauty of the Japanese singer is so soft and tender, and I think is maybe more suitable for the song. So honestly, I wouldn't know who to choose. They are both amazing. Maybe I like this one more since I can understand it, but they are both great, honestly.

  • The problem is not using the original lyrics. She sings it much better but there is something lost in translation.

  • One slight quibble I have though, is now she says "Suteki da nay" rather then "neh".

  • Quite liked it.

Lyrics were a bit dodgy though.

"I want to go to your city" ... >>

    Bit too literal perhaps lol.

It's pretty cool how they kept 'Suteki Da Ne'. I don't think any other verbal phrase would have matched that melodic phrase.

  • @FFVIIFangirl lol you were right, this was your comment

  • @SharksIncorporated Ohhh. Now I feel dumb. XD

  • @Meowster34 Susan Boyle sings this? o_O HOLY SHIT!!!

  • @Panziegirl A really faggoty japanophile.
