Stupid hippies! The only reason they're allowed to do this is because we indulge in stupidity. Give them options. Either get the hell out of the tree or be sprayed down by a fire-hose! Something to that effect. They spent a year in a tree!? Each of those people could have taken that year to go help recovering addicts at rehab clinics, or help adopt a child or animal to a better home. They could have been helping the mentally ill or , etc... But a tree is more important than all of that?

These people spend a year on this issue and settle all bc a committee was formed? Now that is stupid. From what I understand the tree was cut down anyway. Here I thought it was this massive beautiful tree in the open but look around people...there are other trees. At least hold your ground till you know you have won...not for a committee.

Very few if any were current students, but at least some of them were graduates or dropouts.
