A female Sudanese journalist accused of violating the Islamic dress code by wearing pants in public appeared in court Tuesday. Lubna Hussein, a former U.N. Worker, is facing 40 lashes on the charge of 'indecent dressing.' (Aug. 4)

Im muslim & Id just like to clear it up to ppl that in no part of Islam is such an act approved of. Sudanese government is ignorant. in no part of our religion is abuse against women right but countries like Sudan and Saudi make up their own laws and claim them to be under islamic name. i think its horrible that such countries give such bad images about islam.

USA is more advanced on clothes than Sudan. Here we don't put men on trial if found wearing a skirt in public.
