What the viewers didn't know at the time, is that the couple, were actors and they rehearsed the whole bit.
They did not get the car since they were acting but were paid for their appearance.

@sleazieSteve Your math is wrong. They have a 2/15 chance on the first one and a 1/14 chance on the second one, so it would be 2 / 15 / 14 = .95238% or one in 105.

It's frightening that many of these mushmouthed people are in positions of responsibility. Someone tell the producers that cars have automatic transmissions now. Is a Kia a real car or a zonk? They really shouldn't have exhumed this show from the crypt although Tiffany is hotter than all the TPIR chicks combined.
