  • John is awesome. (Mr. deeds is why I'm here)

  • @datacipher You put some natural gut in a metal frame and tell me it isn't more powerful. The large sweet spot adds to my argument that current setups are more controlled, not more powerful than older setups.

  • @cain2335

Obviously he's a closet hacker with his attempt at internet bullying. See my reply to him below. He has no idea what he's talking about. Don't sweat him ;-)

  • @dodododa

Actually it is you who are ignorant as well. Lab test have always shown very minor differences in velocity off different strings, and the raquets are stiffer, with larger sweet spots and thus more powerful. Current thinking is that the the elasticity vs friction of polyester in recovering quickly from ball deformation is the source of increased spin.

  • Im here because i jus saw mcenroe in an adam sandler movie

  • @dodododa lol that's bc you're using big banger. those are control strings. i use alu power myself (it's a control string contrary to the name).

  • @cain2335 I use a Babolat Pure Drive with Big Bangers (similar to RPM). Compared to a heavy old racket with natural gut, it is NOT powerful. But you can take a massive cut at the ball, enabling huge top spin, which thus enables you to keep the balls in play, thus you can generate more pace with confidence. Have a feel of some unstrung RPM Blast, is it springy, or is it stiff? Use your head, stop perpetuating the lie.

  • @dodododa ...have you ever heard of babolat? lol they're powerful rackets. or how about rpm blast? that's spin and power. head rackets are powerful too.

  • Mac is really fit these days. He still wants it in every match. His verbal outbursts are all real and always were. He gets frustrated that he can't quite deliver what he did as a player. That's unrealistic but in his mind he still wants to play like in 1984. Good for him.

  • Why are commentators so ignorant? The rackets and strings are NOT more explosive, they are more dead, which enables bigger swings.
