Silent Dawn V Video Experiment

This is a fraps recording of my Freespace 2 mod Silent Dawn 5: Last Life Taken. This video was made simply for demonstration purposes to a select crowd and not for any kind of promotion or advertising of my mod. The mod is still in slow development with me as the sole modder.

Silent Dawn 5: Last Life Taken takes place in the winding days of the Homeworld-Karaci War with either side having lost complete interest in maintaining the war. The once great battles have become mere border skirmishes and the intense political hammering has become quieter than a falling needle. However plans are in motion behind the scenes that will potentially rekindle the war and set the Homeworlders, a race of humans bent on Unity at the expense of some personal freedoms, on a path to complete galactic dominance and war.

Sorry for the late late late reply, but this is supposed to be a new universe ^^. The shivans there are mostly placeholders. I am giving the universe a pleasant redesign, most of these ships (except the fighters) look radically different

Out of curiosity, what is that Shivanesque fighter with the red spherical things?

Cerahkain 'Dassacre' heavy fighters. It was unfortunate I had to use shivan textures but at the time I just wanted a proof of concept. Those fighters are not that well armored or shielded but are demons... The front sphere has an anti ship beam gun and 2 beam repeaters on the horns. On the belly is a tracking beam laser that hits anything below it. They are also very fast. The other fighter is the Peletierix Medium Fighter with 4 beam repeaters and one heavy beam weapon.

Unfortunately the mod is pretty much outdated and in all honesty needs a complete overhaul which is just out of it at the moment. I may revisit this mod with better ships, special effects, and graphics but I don't have the time or the patience. But I wish to do it again.
