The bass sounds fine, the tenor sounds badly tuned and plasticky. You should be able to pick up something better second hand for $20-$40.

@boguspurr - We had just gotten those recorders. We do have better ones - pearwood Mollenhauers - but we were taking our first shot with these. Actually, the tenor does play very nicely. She just wasn't used to it yet.

By the way, we got the trombone duet music and played it from that (we both read both treble and bass clefs, so that's not a problem for us). If you want it in treble clef, try the trumpet version.
