lots of good old clips and info here! Interviews with E-Type historian (and former Jaguar employee) Roger Woodley, and Norman Dewis (former Jaguar Chief Test Engineer)

nice video of factory production line of William Lyons' XK engine, which went from 3.4 to 3.8 litres, then to 4.2.
performance: 150 mph and only $5,595 in 1961!

Malcolm Sayer designed the body, with shots of prototypes, variants and underpinnings.

  • @LeoJNotneb That is amazing, I've seen Roger Woodley on a couple of vids I purchased about the history of Jaguar. Too bad he is no longer here, he was quite an authority on everything Jaguar. I am sure you must have several fun memories involving these beautiful cars, perhaps you have drivend them... not me, I've only seen classic Jaguars on the internet, never in real life :-(

  • Roger Woodley, the Jaguar historian in this clip is my late Uncle. Thanks for posting. Many fond memories. My aunt is driving the red EType from their house at the end of the video!

  • Mmmm! Love the E Type. My favourite car! The shape is just sublime. Thanks for sharing.
