Share high-quality, HD videos that your viewers can watch anytime, on nearly any device. The TechSmith Smart Player is intuitive and detects if your viewer's device or browser supports Flash. If not, videos will playback using HTML5. It also makes interactive elements like hotspots -- also known as hyperlinks, quizzes, table of contents, and closed captioning possible.

The interactive hotspot doesn't function. It doesn't let me edit where the hotspot is, and nothing is click-able once I add it to a piece of media. I should be able to highlight an area where text already exists and have that area become click-able this option is not very intuitive does anybody have an idea of how to use the hotspot function for linking externally?

Hmm, not sure what you mean by this. Do you mean, can you add iTunes music as background music?

I have not tried this, so I can't verify it. I think iTunes tends to store music in a way that tends to make it inaccessible to other applications. That said, Camtasia Studio supports MP3 files on the timeline, so if you can get your music to an MP3 format, you certainly can use it within Camtasia Studio.

Carefully followed the directions in this video, and the output produced with Studio 8 will NOT play using Firefox -- I get a message that Flash is required. Yet, other YouTube videos will play in that browser if I click the HTML5 option. Some vital information is being left out; the Studio 8 output contains .SWF (flash) and Javascript and no special HTML5 player is defined.

Unfortunately, I don't think that the annotation function allows us to link externally...unless you know something I don't! ;)
