Here is my snowflake moray. While I was feeding him, he saw and chased my puffer. I hope he doesn't catch him...

  • They will climb out or into the overflow. Must have the whole top covered. This one actually climbed out and fell over onto the powerstrip and shorted out the pumps. Terrible eyesight. Will bite anything that moves in front of them.

  • i like these amazing creatures. i was wondering if i would be able to get 2 clowns and and anemone with 20 punds of live rock and snowflake eel? would the anemone be ok with the eel in there or would eel kill it? And will the eel eat clowns or will the anemone protect it?thanks, i like ur video!

  • that is a better plan. I have seen several snowflakes in tanks with clowns and anenomes. Anenomes generally are more toxic and not messed with and protect the clowns.

try to get a small snowflake as they grow fast. and don't overfeed, they actually don't need that much to eat, mine has gone for weeks without eating...

    thanks for the comments!

  • i have 55 gallon and i am getting a lion fish, trigger fish and a snowflake i know it might get a bit crowded but is there any other fish i can put in there i also have live rock

  • you will not be able to keep that big a bio load in that small a tank. It will work for a little while but not long term.

  • ok thanks and do u have any suggestions on how much live rock i should put in depending on the fish i am getting for 55 gal.

  • general rule of thumb is 1lb per gallon. For live rock to "live" and filter your tank, you will need some light, at least 4 watts per gallon in the right spectrum... and flow of 25-30 times volume... so 1500gph through filters/powerheads/closed loops... and it goes on... and on...

  • STAY AWAY FROM MY PUFFER!

  • they don't have sharp eyesight, do they?

  • does the eel have tendency to climb out of tank, or is it easy to keep?

  • was that a chromis swiming by at the beggining of the clip?

  • Take THAT you nasty little puffer. You can eat the eel shit later.

  • I didn't know that people had moray eels and pufferfish as pets.

  • figure 8s are brackish, morays are marine. you would have to get a marine puffer.

  • lmao you sound just like ferris bueller.

On a second note did the eel leave you puffer alone, im thinking of getting one with my figure 8's

  • i'm thinking of getting a snowflake eel, could it live with 2 cleaner shrimp, powder blue tang and a couple of common clownfish. The clownfish are only about 1-1 1/2 inches long, very small.

go and check out my video its got everything in it!
