Ricky, JJ, Buddy, and Juarbe doin their thing at the talent show credits to jackson state university and pjm snare....thanks guys couldnt have done this without you
What's neat about the 7/8 Grid is that you can apply alot of different rudiments into it and it still works out well. Just keep practicing in the mirror and make sure that you're technique is good and heights and accents are good. At first you're gonna be self conscience about it, but then it just comes natural.
Yeah pretty much. Just get a basic warm up like Eight On The Hand and practice different heights in front of a mirror. First work on your 12'', then your 6'', and then your 3''. My school's drumline uses it as a warm up and even though the stick heights are different, we try to keep the same volume at each height. Then to work on the accents, get another warm up such as the 7/8 Grid. Practice at a certain height and make your accents the next height up.
