Video of Tea and Brillig recorded at night, when they're more alert. At about 5:00 you can see Tea yawn.
At night I'm much more careful around these critters. This is when they're in hunting mode, and the chance of being bitten is greater. All my chondros can be handled during the day, but I never handle at night unless there's an emergency.
Also, I feed them only at night when the room lights are out. (There's enough light from the hallway to see what I'm doing.) My hope is that this will condition them not to expect food when the room lights are on, and help me avoid getting bit due to feeding response.
