Sesame Street was brilliant because it careened between a kind of "low" vaudeville (Ernie and Bert, the pratfalling pastry chef et al.) "high" art (Phillip Glass, Denny Zeitlin's prog jazz, an orange singing to Bizet, etc.) and "vernacular" forms (rap, hip hop, salsa, bossa nova, ragtime). What more could a progressive "Great Society" need? Now every damn kids program culls from what da Street originated.
How koo was Sesame Street in the 70s...they taught us SOOO much...who knew we were being exposed to Geometric themes at such a young age? We just thought it was really koo. But I'm sure some of us got in those upper level math classes and thought about some of this later.

Awesome, man!
Kinda reminds me of the animated segment in Roger Daltrey's RIDE A ROCK HORSE video compilation.
