For a relatively small country, Belgium sure boasts a large number of leading clubs. Well-designed and packed full of high-tech lighting, sound and video gear, they are some of the biggest, most popular clubs in Europe.
Actually, the Kokorico has been around for seven years but a lighting upgrade a few years ago has spawned the latest incarnation. Located in Zomergem, Belgium Kokorico is one of the most technologically advanced clubs you'll find anywhere, a trendy 2000-capacity nightspot that continues the growing Belgium club tradition of incorporating elements from the world of performance theatre.
Kokorico features what they claim to be the largest turning light spider in the world, ample amounts of intelligent lighting, and all the bells and whistles that make each week a new experience - floating swimming pools, dance stages emerging from the roof, circus artists, huge plasma screens, light-matrix, huge fans, confetti shots and flying dancers to name a few...
Kokorico is made up of three main areas - Red Hall, Colour Studio, and Orange Club.
The Red Hall is the main dance area and features a large show stage, XXL video screens, the infamous spider truss made by company Techno Construct (ref. Zillion, Versuz, Time-out)
R. Kerremans of Techno Construct completed the lighting design for Kokorico.
