We're working on a brand new release inspired by The Troubadour Reunion Tour. (Val's 1st group, Howdy Moon played their initial gig @ The Troubadour).
Val's web site is the only place licensed to bring you audio & video of these legendary sessions. Plans are to have new content posted on April 30, 2011
On May 8, 1977, I (along with 8 other firefighters from Ramstein Air Base)had the honor of meeting Valerie Carter in the lobby of the Frankfurt Hotel in Frankfurt, Germany. She had just been the lead act for the Eagles that night, replacing Dan Fogelberg in an unannounced change prior to the show. The audience wasn't that appreciative and she was upset. We told her how fantastic she was and we all got autographs that night.
Val took so much criticism for this album when it was first released in '78, yet it has withstood the test of time. And, frankly, it sounds even more charming, light, and fillled with love than ever! Lowell George was right as usual, "I want you to hear this voice!" Straight fom the heart...from one of the great vocalist stylists of our time. Thanks for posting!
Excellent !!!! She made two classic albums. I loved her.
