Extraordinaire interprétation de Sally Matthews de ce dramatique air de cosi.

This is probably the greatest rendition of this beautiful aria I've ever heard. Great breath-control, consummate expression in acting and a really convincing musical style. Bravissima!

@hillevifan I must agree with you on Susan Chilcott's Fiordiligi. I did enjoy that production on YouTube, and she is a fine world-class performer, but I felt her Fiordiligi was on a rather dull side. I must've felt just a little too afraid, I guess, to be critical at all on the deceased, but I'm just kinda glad I wasn't the only one that felt that way. LOL

Absolutely stunning! I love the expansive tempo. She certainly had a great breath control to keep up with it. With a deluxe voice like hers, I'd tolerate "less brisk" tempos any time. I'm totally dreaming of her other big Mozart roles, Anna, Elvira, even Vitellia, I totally see it in her.

Beautiful, Sally.

stunning, in every way!

@mjanes4 Amen.

She has the most wonderful voice... such power and brilliance. Shame about the poor directing and shocking costume!
-
absolutely right, but this is what happens when using an original natural horn instead of a modern instrument...
-
Stunning soprano! Terrible pity about the French horn player(s).
This is one of my favourite Mozart arias and a lovely introduction to Sally Matthews who is superb. Thank you hillefan and yes, what a voice, Wonderful!!!

I totally agree Mikey but how you can mention Sally Matthews in the same breath as Katherine Jenkins, I don't know. They are just not in the same league at all and to compare them is an insult to Sally. If she doesn't go down in history as having one of THE most beautiful voices ever, I will eat my hat!
