For some reason our laws on arson are fucked up. I have to agree, you kill people, destroy communities, millions in damage, and you get something like 25 years? It's absurd.

Metreing out 'eye for an eye justice' is just as barbaric as the arson and will not yield a humane society. If you do burn a proven arsonist I hope the person has the option for a humane death first.
I also hope in this case no one is being made a scapegoat for other agendas, ignorant planning, and/or acts of nature or weather wars.

Baha'i Holy Writings say the Arson should be burned to death, but the people can choose to be humane. We mustn't blame all on arson in this case. It is like a war zone.
