This short demonstration of how a shot is stabilized using Adobes warp stabilizer starts with the original unstabilized footage which was shot SD on DVCAM from a power-boat. We then see the unstabilized and stabilized shots side by side and then finally the stabilized shot full screen.
You will note there is not too much cropping of the image like a traditional stabilizer would do.
Settings for the stabilizer were:- Smooth motion 96%, subspace warp, stabilze, sythesize edges, additional scale of 104%, synthesis input range was 5.48 seconds and edge feather of 10.
There are some minor artifacts but overall, I consider this a huge improvement on the original footage and could probably be improved on a little more.
