Me battling the Arena Tycoon Greta for the Gold Guts Symbol. I randomly chose my team. She has

Umbreon@Chesto Berry
Confuse Ray, Double-Edge, Psychic, Rest

Gengar@Leftovers
Destiny Bond, Dream Eater, Hypnosis, Psychic

Breloom@Lum Berry
Focus Punch, Giga Drain, Headbutt, Spore

Umbreon might be a pain. If you are not sure if you could take it down in 3 hits, I suggest you bring a tank with low speed instead of a sweeper. You can put its Chesto Berry out with a sleep move of your own, but if you don't, and start attacking, its last move is almost always rest. I suggest that your pokemon has some stat boosters, and an offensive move. Boost up 1, or 2 turns. If you start attacking the second turn, you'll also get another chance to hit the third turn because Umbreon will go first, and use rest allowing your pokemon to hit second(that's why you need a pokemon with low speed). You should win by judging.

Gengar is not so easy either. It may try Hypnosis, and Dream Eater. If he's about to go down, he'll start his Destiny Bond. If your pokemon has better speed than him, you could try killing it in 3 hits. If not, have a recovery move, use offensive moves 2 turns, and then, use the recovery move to avoid Destiny Bond. But, pokemon like Alakazam, Espeon, Latias, or Latios will be enough.

Breloom can be one hit koed by Aerial Ace, or Drill Peck. If not, you should be afraid of Spore, and Focus Punch combo. Because of its high attack, its stabbed Focus Punch can do some decent damage even to types who are resistant against fighting.

  • @lessthan0life these guys are really dumb lol, nice teams.

  • this is a hack u did catch your pokemon in littleroot town

  • He did hack, but it's within legal limits so it's nothing too outrageous.

Also, if you must know, EV training is when one trains a Pokémon rigorously in a certain stat. For example, it'd probably be a good idea to EV train a Heracross in its Attack stat so it can hit harder or a Blissey in its Defense stat so it can take hits better. It's done by battling certain Pokémon constantly until it can't go up anymore.

Serebii has a more in-depth page on EV training, so check that out if you can.

  • is this a hack? if not how come you got all your pokemon in littleroot? there aint no grass or trade machine there... sorry if i seem noobish but whats EV training btw?

  • It's a rental Pokemon! Rental Pokemon aren't owned by a real person they're choices! Notice your -1.
