The people around here drive so bad, that I decided to make a fifth music video out of it. I hope you find it entertaining, as I enjoyed putting it together.

The song used for this one is Bullet-Proof & Panic-Stricken, by one of my favorite composers, MoozE. This song, and an amount of others, can be downloaded for free (and legally) from: http://www.game-ost.com/albums/653/mooze_-_2006_selected_works_promo_%28g-ost...

It's a track I found while I was searching for tracks to use for my dashcam videos. It quickly became a favorite, and I haven't been able to stop listening to it for months.

No more Sony Vegas 9 complaints in the description - now I'm using Sony Vegas 11, and it NEVER CRASHES (except when you add shadow to their new text effect that does cool stuff, including underlining... luckily they left the old text effect intact as a separate thing, and I used that instead, because shadow is absolutely necessary). It's very de-stressing, knowing that I can render a video, and it will actually work on it until it's done (instead of locking up on a frame, or simply disappearing so I only see my desktop when I go back to my PC).

I've been out of town... a LOT, so that is why I haven't produced this video sooner. I've also been playing a ton of Skyrim, and that certainly didn't help. I have a number of clips saved from outside NoVa, and am unsure at this point whether or not I will use them for later videos. For some reason, drivers outside of Northern Virginia aren't quite as bad.

If you have a suggestion for a new song (getting permission for these is getting impossible), please let me know. It needs to be not published by a big publisher, have minimal or no vocals, and I need to like it. It doesn't have to be techno/metal, but a fastish pace is preferred.

Tools used: Sony Vegas Home Studio 11, Arcsoft MediaImpression, Kodak ZX5 Playsport w/ wide angle and fisheye lenses, Legacy GT Sedan, a Bracketron GPS dashboard sticky-pad mount, and a Ram Mount concoction (suction cup, arm, and ball camera mount).

  • OMG man my idea has come to fruition!

I feel exactly as you do every time a shithead NoVa driver pulls one of these crazy stunts day after day turning my daily commute into real life Mario Kart. God, I was so ready to start own NoVa Shithead Drivers Channel (it wouldn't have been as nice as yours though) What really made my day was seeing clips through the exact route I take to work (236/Main St/FFX Corner area)

P.S I just picked up a ZX5 tonight, any details on your new mount??

  • @jakescakes Hey I came looking for your comment and it was flagged as spam (I guess because you updated it). For my first three months I used a Sunpak Click 'n Stick (from Best Buy) with a Bracketron GPS sticky-pad (Micro Center - $15). That mount didn't last (started wobbling a lot when hot from the dash) so I ordered a concoction from Ram Mount (about $40 all put together).

  • tu es le justicier de la route

  • @vidad74 Haha... I try to make the video entertaining to watch, nothing more. I have an attitude now that I have a hobby of recording, that I enjoy it when someone does something stupid on the road (as long as there are no accidents, of course).

  • great video, hope to see more

  • @NOVAdashcam

Thanks for the quick reply. I might go with a Delkin mount myself. Also, I gave the ZX5 a mini test today on the way to work but I only captured a weak clip. But wouldn't ya know it, as soon as I ran out of space (ordering a larger sd card) some dude casually cuts me off in NoVa fashion and continues to drive like an asshat (he was smoking AND on the phone) FML it would have been great footage!! I also wish I had another camera for the rear view. Good night

  • I did miss this video I think because I dont remember it! so thanks for letting me know! im subscride to like 80 people or so not sure lol so if im not on for like a couple of days if people upload to many it wont show some others! so thanks! oh for sure Ill most likely leave a comment on every cool dashcam user but if they have good clips which you always do! great captures by the way, you gotta love the first clip in heavy traffic happens quite alot! love your vids straight to the point!

  • Awesome I really like the rain on the windshield... VERY BF3ish : )

  • 2:28 My mother had to do the same thing. On this bridge my mum had to change lands because the lane she was in was a exit lane, but the cars next to her were boxing her in so she had to stop in the triangle.
