I saw this movie twice in college, and they make a really good argument here. I would recommend this movie to everyone I know. They will never look at ads the same way again! I know I didn't!

Of course, genetic engineering shouldn't just be used for making people more beautiful, but also stronger, smarter, and healthier. Instead of trying to drag everyone down in the name of 'acceptance', we should try to lift everyone up, help them realize their full potential. Equality is all fine & dandy, but it must be the equality of *perfection*, not mediocrity. This is the essence of T R A N S H U M A N I S M. Look it up on google (for example "transhumanist faq").

I agree about the idealization of female passivity; this is retarded and needs to stop. Strong, assertive women are much more interesting (and productive) than weak, fearful & passive ones. However, beauty *is* important. It's not the only thing that counts, but it *is* something we should appreciate and strive for. Not just with crude means like make up, diets, and plastic surgery, but with GENETIC ENGINEERING. As the saying goes, true beauty comes from within -- from the genes.
