A Belgian F-16 is seen displaying at Eastbourne Airbourne Airshow on Friday 12.8.2011. The weather was rather overcast with low cloud and with a westerly wind. The video was taken from Helen Gardens, sited 2 & 1/4 kilometres to the west of the pier, which was the centre line for the display. For most of the display, maximum zoom or near maximum zoom was necessary. The whole display was filmed using manual focus. If you enjoy watching this display, you may also enjoy watching my F-16 Fighting Falcon Biggin Hill 1997 video clip. At the end of the display the pilot does a superb "touch and go" with the smoke generators working.

  • Thanks for your comment. It was a pity that the poor visibility/weather precluded the Red Arrows doing their display. However, as we both know, the Red Arrows did make an appearance, albeit a brief one. If you are interested, I have posted two of their displays at previous Eastbourne airshows on my Youtube channel.

  • Its weird the afterburner comes out so much, perhaps a new engine? who knows but its not just in this weather that it does it, it seems to do it everywhere all the time!
