  • thanks for the supportive comments. art therapy has done wonders for siobhan... she's very focused, engaged & says more words while painting than at any other time.

  • WOW. She is lovely, and what a neat idea. My son loves to paint too.

Is PICA something to do with a mineral deficiency? I had it during pregnancy, and was told that it was a mineral deficiency which caused it. I had this desire to eat dirt. Weird I know.

    Your daughter is amazing.

  • PICA can be a very dangerous behavior for children on the spectrum. at this point, it has nothing to do with any deficiencies... it's just a behavior she has... she's getting better about it... she used to put anything she got on her hands into her mouth... now she wipes it in her hair! LOL! (including the paint!)

  • is she nonverbal?

  • WoW she will be a great artist !!!!!!!!!! autism has its advantages...

  • She's so adorable!! If that painting at the end with the green hand print were for sale, I'd buy it! ❤

  • My son was just diagnosed and he is nonverbal and I love this video because

alot of people are only showing the bad. I was told autistic kids dont show love but my son loves kisses and hugs. He is also 3.

  • WOW, YOU HAVE YOUR HANDS FULL. THE TOUGHEST JOB IN THE WORLD...KEEP IT UP!

  • We are all in this together. All the best to you and your family. Thank you for sharing these moments with so many others.

  • Keep up the good work mama. It must be so hard.

  • God bless her

  • these children are so amaizing my son is autistic and also loves paint and music.

  • @oMgEeItSeLiZaBeTh I'd say she was pretty pissed off when she wrote it. When one becomes angry their spelling acuity decreases.
