I took little Brutus to the Vet's for the first time. He was constipated. This is for all of Brutus' fan's,
and for the lovely, caring people over at the Daily Kitten website, who have requested to see
the technique that the Vet's office used, to squeeze the poo out of Brutus.

  • thanks! you might have saved my kittens life. i did the triangle technique and he pooed right away and is very happy now.

  • @tripl3ogkush That is wonderful news! Constipation can kill a kitten, as can fleas. Kiss the baby for me!!! If there is anything I can ever do to help, just send me a message. :D

  • I loved watching this!! (for all the RIGHT reaasons mind you! LOL) GREAT job giving a DAMN!!! THUMBS UP TO YOU TOO!

  • @Trinityluv76 Thank you so much, Trinityluv76! :D :D :D

  • I have a 3 week old kitten that looksvJUST like him and hasn pooped in 4 or so days!!!

  • @horseluver343 Also, check the baby's gums, make sure they are not too pale. Baby may have fleas, and you will have to give baby a bath in warm water w/ a little Dawn dish detergent in it, it will kill the fleas. Do NOT use over the counter flea stuff, it will be toxic to the baby. Basically, just be "mama cat" and your baby will survive. :D I used to use the warm damp washcloth to "lick" baby all over, it keeps their circulation going. Start at head and face and work your way down. :D

  • For what it's also worth, I created this account to post that.... thanks again!

  • As a previous poster mentioned, I think you may have saved my kittens life! We took her in from outside when her mom couldn't be found. We're learning as we go but, this was the only thing we couldn't do, get her to poop. Now, after quite a large amount of poop, I'm happy to say I think she'll make it :) Thank you for taking the camera into the vet's office and showing us the "Triangle Method!" I WORKS!

  • how old was he at the time of this video?

  • @horseluver343 Are you giving the baby KMR? It's a powder, comes in a can, get it at any Petsmart or reputable pet store. You mix it w/ water, warm it up, (just a few seconds in the microwave and TEST THE TEMP on your upper lip to ensure not too hot for baby). Feed baby every 4-6 hours, and keep baby on a heating pad set to LOW w/ a towel over it. After bottle feeding, use a warm, damp washcloth to stimulate baby to pee and poo...do this by the sink w/ some warm water running. Keep us posted
