This movie demonstrates an implementation of wireless energy transfer, in combination with magnetic levitation. The result is a light bulb(20 Watt) floating in mid-air, while lit.

The great guys at Hackedgadget.com have posted this movie on their website with a little explanation. But you can always drop me a message.

  • What if u used an LED bulb?

  • @iisdan you could use a led bulb, and then the coils can be much smaller, and have much higher light output. but I liked the image of the glowing filament in a transparant bulb. a led looks more artificial.

  • That looks nice, now is it possible to do the same at the ceiling? That would look even better if the room light just hangs there midair. :)

  • @kamazuri Yes its is. In fact, check out bea.st/sight/lightbulb he did exactly this. His creation was also the inspiration for mine. Distance is a problem though, I do not think you can get more than 10 to 20cm out of it, and you should use leds instead of the ordinary bulb that I used.

  • Did you ever get caught by spy agents?

Tesla's Wardenclyffe tower was blown up by someone. Tesla engineers get killed in air plane accident. there's alot of robbies while you go out store, etc...

  • nah, they only do that if you don't accept their first offer :-p

  • They 1 upped Harry Potter's floating candles

  • Tesla had wireless energy way back in the day, to bad Edison was jealous and the majority of all electric things ended up being Edisons, Tesla was light years ahead of him.

  • Now what would of been even more impressive if the lightbulb lite up :p

  • schematic pleeese!

  • Voce pode ma pasar o diagrama elétrico ,esquema do circuito eletrônico ..

  • You can use CFL and LED

  • Ok, so I only watched the vid once, but I am guessing that this is using permanent magnets to create repulsion and a HF induction to stabilize it? Is a metal plate used? If so how does the induction in the bulb make it past a dead short. Ok I don't understand it, but cool.

  • and no one got laid that day.

  • that effect when two magnets repell one another, is it the contact between the the exsisting magnets that causes electricity?

  • Was this made with a superconductor?

  • '

try to spin this bulb turn around

  • How is it levitating? Oscillating magnetic field inducing currents in the coil that create a repelling magnetic field? Doesn't seem stable
