lol, Astoria is not hood and as a hispanic, from Astoria I never identified with the whole latino gangster association. We just weren't surrounded by any real violence. It was a tame neighborhood... and now, I believe it's becoming gentrified.

being a relocated person from southside now living in astoria, i can tell you that no astoria project is as bad as southside, so you astorians, stop trying to be hardcore cuz i see this and it makes me laugh, we had no street fairs or amusements around my way. you try sleeping with the sounds of gunshots.
