I've been wanting to see this since it came out. I had forgotten about this until I was watching the opening credits to Umberto Lenzi's "Eaten Alive" and the main actress walks by a 42nd Street movie house with DISCO 9000 on the marquee.
Yeah, you're right. This is a very under rated film made in 1976. After Saturday Night Fever, every studio in Hollywood announced a 'Disco' movie in development. But in the end, only 3 were ever made and released: Saturday Night Fever; Than God It's Friday; and the most soulful one, Disco 9000.
What a find, I was actually one of the extra's (dancer) in this movie! I danced the night away having fun being in this film...good memories :)
