  • what number is this 1

  • This is Amtrak #7, the westbound Empire Builder. Train #8 is the eastbound Empire Builder

  • Thanks for posting this. I'll be on #7 in early Sept., and was wondering if there would be speaker in the Lounge. Hopefully that will still be going on in early Sept. (since I'd like get some video of that). I also noticed that no one in any of the cars thru which you passed seemed to mind you capturing them on video, which is something I wondered about (since I was planning the same kind of walkthru you did, although just for friends on DVD--not to post). Thanks again for the video.

  • I would think so as there was on this one.

Yeah I dont think they minded as I showed faces and bodies for only a few seconds.

  • thanks for the video, where leaving on the empire builder in another week from chicago to west glacier. gives us an idea whats going on.

  • @pjm5678 The Seattle half gets split from the Portland half in Spokane, WA, the Seattle Half gets the dinner car, and the Portland Half gets the sightseer lounge car, and goes thru Pasco, WA in my Hometown of the Tri-Cities, , WA!

  • So does the Seattle half of the train gets un coupled from the Portland car at the fork in the railroad and then carrys on to seattle?

  • Very nice job! I live in Pasco, WA and will be going on the Empire Builder this August to Chicago to go to St. Louis, my home town, for a family visit. I have a bedroom, the roomette which will make it very quiet~ I used to live in St. Paul as well :) You did a good job, and I'm all ready to go now!! LOL!!!!! HAPPY TRAVELING!!!! God Bless!
