White bread, whole grain, multigrain, organic or bagel, pretzel, bruschetta, ciabatta . . . it's all the same. It's all comes from the same source: high-yield semi-dwarf wheat, the incredibly changed product of genetics research conducted over the past 40 years.

  • You should just avoid any form of grains, they are all high in carbohydrates which is not good among all the other things wrong with them. Check out the Paleo and Primal diets for more info on healthy eating and alternatives

  • ALL of our foods have been genetically changed like the wheat but this wheat thing is bad. When my mom first got this book i was a little iffy about it. But she's read it and stopped eating wheat. In 2 weeks she lost 10 pounds. My mom is a diabetic. I, however, am not a diabetic and have taken myself only partially off wheat products and in 2 weeks I lost 5 pounds. We've not changed our diets in any other way besides taking the wheat out. This is the real deal. Read the book.

  • @kataisa3 Sure...but that means you'll have to make it with something else, like almond flour, coconut flour, pumpkin flour and etc. which can be quite expensive.

  • @kataisa3 No, bread as a whole is absolutely and completely different than what it was. Simply put, We are not eating the backbone of the agricultural revolution. We are eating its Frankenstein's monster.

  • @shurdawg problem is that the wheat you can get nowadays is not the same wheat that your grandparents ate. Since the 1950's the hybrid semi-dwarf wheat has become the main crop, and since the 1970's (pretty much when the obesity boom started) has dominated wheat production.

  • So can we still have bread as long as it doesn't have wheat in it?

  • So is saying that Kamut, Spelt is the same as white bread? or Wheat Germ? When he says there is not that much difference, is he saying this grains cause the same sugar spike as white bread? If so that's pretty unexpected and I would love more information that proves this. In his glossary for his book he doesn't mention these grains even once. Can anybody clarify?

  • @NuclearNympho I drink heaps of beer and have no problems except I can't get enough (I don't mean beer) LOL

  • @41Slinger Yeah, Ill stick to my wheat, my parents and grand parents have done so for centuries, none of the were fat over weight or suffered from any side effects.

  • @shurdawg and that's good for you, you haven't read the book or know what the case and clinical trials have shown. "Wheat" affects people differently over a period of time, if you have no issues eating a bagel or sandwich, keep it up hopefully you are one of the small percentage of people who have no outward issues with Gluten or Ameliopectin A in your system. But don't count on it.

  • @ChaosKids512 Total BS my ass.
