This poem was written by George Rostov in response to the closure of the Powerhouse Hostel, which during the 14 years it's door were open helped over 1000 people. Shut down due to lack of government funding, it's 56 residents were consequently forced onto the streets as a result.
The poem was read at a candlit vigil, where it's defiant finger-pointing left several publicity-hungry MP's feeling somewhat uncomfortable.
