17. Band Introduction/Healing Hands (Elton John - Live in Montreal : 9/26/1989)

After asking for another request, I'm going to do something shocking... Upload a show that isn't from 1986 or 1984! Montreal 1989 and this show is dedicated to ElliSun (thank you for this show!) and bsizzy17 for suggesting this show! The show is complete and in fair quality (some 1989 shows didn't have I'm Still Standing) and now onto Elton himself. Elton's voice is in pretty good shape for 1989 with him hitting notes that he hit with his pre-op voice such as Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word, Island Girl and Levon however he does have some intonation problems in some songs such as I Don't Wanna Go On With You Like That where he hits sharp and flat notes in the choruses. Also, what doesn't help is the fact Elton plays Sacrifice a key higher although to his credit, it still sounds good! And to show how coked up he was at this time, he misses the cue for the bridge for I Don't Wanna which is one of his more amusing errors! And to end the concert on a high, Elton hits some of the high notes in Rocket Man! Enjoy!
