  • I think the lead is actually Philip-just using his lower register. Philip is singing with this same voice on the Illumination album. Then, he switches back to his falsetto that everyone knows him from. If you don't believe me-listen to Tee Nine Bit-both him and Maurice are singing lead in verse 1 and 2. I recognize their voices well!

  • U know what? After over 37 years, I believe Philip IS singing in the lower register for the first couple bars and then takin' it higher as only he could. Great Ears!!

  • Verdine singing lead on this one...this song so dreamy I get high listening to it without any drugs

  • Tthat would be Maurice!!

  • and on the seventh day GOD created clover and zanzibar!!

  • logosadam Jessica was great, but she was not an original member. Jazz singer Sherry Scott preceded her. This was just Jessica's 2nd album with EWF, she was with the Friend's of Distinction when EWF started. As for this song, I was always under the impression Maurice sang this one, he can hit the high notes too.

  • @ltinsley2 YES. YES. YES. I still have the album.
