rohit0157 that calls CGI - it can handle everything. but hoh zac can handle playng light... not that apiarance, not that style of acting. light should be totaly heartless and cold, with iq like over 200. thats totaly not a work for afron.
logan lerman. thats may be who could play it. enaugh maniac and evil lights in his eyes) and more looks like. i can`t even remember someone else. its not an easy role to play

I was like NO WAY when I saw this!!

Zac was okay in 17 Again... A good Light.
But how will they handle Ryuk? That troubles me more. They almost removed him from the story until the director ranted and brought the shinigami back.

@RachaelRamen yeah, your right, but think about it. we already have enough with the dub. and the live action movies. why do we need more death note live action movies. theres already 3 of them and they are bad ass

Guys, if they say its on the back burner...in Hollywood terms, that means NO.
-
No matter who he would be, he's still not sexy enough, not hot enough and definitely not SMART enough. ~ -3 deathnote forever

I like Zac Efron... He was good in 17 again :P play'd it kinda cocky etc, I think he'd do good as Light...
Omg guys really... Come on. Seriously. We need to let go of Zac Efron's PAST. So he played in a couple of bad movies, that doesn't mean he's a bad actor. He's a talented and handsome man who actually likes Death Note. And A LOT of stars enjoy watching anime. Anime is becoming more and more popular every day. Hell, it has it's own place in Netflix. He's not going to ruin Death Note. He knows what he's doing. Let off it!

@Aaronthegreatest It's not about having faith in Hollywood. It's about having faith in the director and writers. Shane Black is directing and he has yet to release anything that wasn't outstanding, from the lethal weapon series to Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. The writers check out too, check them out. I have faith in this movie, because I have faith in those who are actually creating it, instead of focusing on failed anime adaptations of the past.
