This is a documentary about land evictions in Cambodia. The rich and corrupted putting laws at their own hands to benefits their wealth in a high value place. Ordinary poor people are the victims again.
Last week Minister for Land Management, billionaire Im Chhun Lim presented honorary medals to Representatives from Germany, Finland and Canadian donors for “their work in the country's land sector”. Key recipients were Herr Mueller, Herr Schilling, & Ms Ahola. On 29 June Ms Wishart, Head Canadian CIDA also got a medal for “untiring efforts in her mission here, especially on land management and reform”. Well done to all donors for continuing to support land violations and violent evictions.
Twenty thousand US dollars really is insufficient to buy a house in PPenh. The sky rocketed real estate value is too much to afford for people who only makes $2/day. And $2/day is a good day for many.
Some poor Cambodians are very greedy as well. When investors offered to buy their land, they would act all high up and bargain like some big time people. Sometime they just ask for too much. When investors get frustrated, they will do it the hard way to get the land.

Seeing this just makes my heart cry. Its unethical. My khmer people shouldn't have to suffer this way.
