Mission Statement
The foundation: Legacy of Legends will endeavor to promote and protect the teaching and ideals of legendary horsemen, Tom Dorrance and Ray Hunt.
Clinics will be organized and presented featuring students that exemplify the spirit and ability to communicate a level of horsemanship introduced and taught by Tom and Ray. The Foundation's goal is to generate funding for scholarships to deserving students in pursuit of a higher level of consciousness in conjunction with the horse. These clinics will be organized and promoted in the spirit of harmony between horse and rider with emphasis on preserving the dignity and wellbeing of the horse while encouraging the rider to achieve a higher level of horsemanship. The clinics will be presented to the public in a teaching format to continue to generate information and experience to those individuals who have embarked on this style of Horsemanship.
Scholarships will be granted to individuals based on their interests and level of ability. An impartial committee will select the individuals to receive scholarships, endeavoring to place them with teachers who share their interests.
@grullo38: Peter Campbell was a presenter at the 2012 Legacy of Legends event. He and his niece, Megan (aka "Scooter"), did a 3-day colt starting demonstration, and he participated in the calf roping demonstration. He's great!

I would absolutely add Peter Campbell to this list... he is unsung to the extent that these others are, but has changed the lives of many people and alot more horses- especially mine. I find his style is similar to Buck and Ray, and the emphasis is on the same things. He worked with Tom DOrrance for awhile when Tom did clinics in the early 80's. Peter is very basic with his message, and gives alot of credit to Tom Dorrance when he does clinics... and he is very effective. see "willingpartners".

In my opinion these men have completely changed the old harsh ways of "breaking" a horse....unity with a willing partner.

1991 watched Ray with horses, completely changed my life then was able to see him at one of his last clinics in fall of 2008. Ray, Tom, Bill, Buck....etc. the horses advocates, how they have changed the horseworld for the better. Truly great men.

A true loss, losing these two masters... there's very few I'd name as horse masters, these two earned their place in the hall of legends in my eyes...
