About Voices of September 11th

Voices of September 11th (VOICES) was co-founded in 2001 by Mary Fetchet, a clinical social worker and educator, following the death of her 24 year old son Brad and Beverly Eckert, wife of Sean Rooney. VOICES became a clearinghouse of information, support services and advocated on behalf of 9/11 families for reforms to promote preparedness on the local, state and federal level. The organization has a dedicated staff of professionals in our offices in New Canaan,CT and New Brunswick, New Jersey, providing information and direct services to over 11,000 members living around the world. In 2006 VOICES launched the 9/11 Living Memorial Project which grew out of the needs of the 9/11 families to commemorate their loved ones and for rescue workers and survivors to document their inspirational stories of survival for future generations. VOICES is uniquely positioned to promote resiliency and provide ongoing services that will address the long-term needs of the 9/11 community, forever impacted by the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
